Managing Saved Withdrawal Addresses
If you frequently withdraw to the same address, manually entering it each time is both tedious and error-prone. Binance's address book lets you save frequently used addresses for one-tap selection — convenient and secure.
After registering through the Binance registration link, add your common addresses to the address book early and enable the withdrawal whitelist for asset protection.
How to Add Addresses
Add during withdrawal:
- Go to the withdrawal page and select a token
- Paste the withdrawal address in the "Address" field
- Check "Save to Address Book"
- Give the address a label (e.g., "My MetaMask," "John's BTC address")
- Address auto-saves after completing the withdrawal
Add directly through address book:
- Binance APP → Wallet → Withdraw
- Tap the address book icon in the upper right (or go to Settings → Address Management)
- Tap "Add Address"
- Select the token
- Select the network
- Enter the address
- Enter a label (tag name)
- Fill in Memo/Tag if needed
- Complete security verification and save
Managing the Address Book
On the address management page you can:
View all saved addresses: Organized by token
Edit labels: Modify address labels for better identification
Delete addresses: Remove addresses no longer in use
Search addresses: Quickly find by label or address
Withdrawal Whitelist Feature
This is a critical security feature: when enabled, withdrawals can only go to addresses saved in the address book. Withdrawing to new addresses requires adding them to the whitelist first.
How to enable:
- Binance APP → Security Settings
- Find "Withdrawal Whitelist"
- Enable the feature
- Complete security verification
Whitelist benefits:
- Even if your account is compromised, hackers can't withdraw to their own address
- Adding new whitelist addresses requires full security verification
- New addresses typically have a 24-hour cooldown before they can be used
Address Entry Tips
Always verify the network: The same address on different networks may look identical but be different. Always confirm the network type (ERC20, BEP20, TRC20, etc.) when adding.
Don't forget Memo/Tag: Tokens like XRP, EOS, and ATOM require Memo or Tag. Save the Memo in the address label too, in case you forget.
Regular cleanup: Addresses may become outdated over time. Periodically clean up old addresses.
Don't save temporary addresses: Some exchanges or services change deposit addresses — don't save one-time addresses as permanent entries.
Managing Multiple Recipients
If you regularly send to several fixed people, save their addresses with clear labels:
- "Alice - BTC Mainnet"
- "Bob - USDT TRC20"
- "Self - MetaMask ETH"
Clear naming prevents sending to the wrong person or wrong network.
Combined with Internal Transfers
If the recipient is also a Binance user, you can save their Binance UID or email for internal transfers. Internal transfers are fee-free and instant — better than on-chain.
On the withdrawal page, select the "Binance User" tab to transfer free via email, phone, or UID.
Security Summary
- Enable withdrawal whitelist — one of the most effective anti-theft measures
- Write clear labels for every address
- Send a small test amount when using a new address for the first time
- Regularly review and clean up the address book
- Don't view or copy addresses in insecure environments
Address management may seem like a small thing, but good habits can prevent asset loss at critical moments.
