Just downloaded the Binance app and everything is in a language you don't understand? Or somehow it switched to an unfamiliar language? Changing it is simple — takes just 30 seconds.
Switching Language on the App
Regardless of your current language, follow this path:
- Open the Binance app
- Tap the profile icon in the upper left
- Scroll down to find a globe icon or the "Language" option
- Tap it to see the language list
- Select your preferred language (e.g., "English" or "Simplified Chinese")
- The app reloads in your chosen language
If you can't find the profile entry, try:
- Bottom Tab → "More" → "Language"
- Bottom Tab → "Profile" → "Settings" → "Language"
If you haven't downloaded the app yet, download the Binance app first, then configure the language.
Switching Language on the Web
On your desktop browser:
- Go to binance.com
- Look at the top right or bottom of the page
- Find the globe icon or current language text
- Click to open the language selection list
- Select your preferred language
- The page automatically refreshes
Why Isn't It in Your Preferred Language by Default?
Several possible reasons:
1. Network-based detection Binance auto-selects a language based on your IP address. If you're using a VPN, your IP may show a different country, defaulting to that region's language.
2. Phone system language Some Binance app versions follow the phone's system language. If your phone is set to a different language, Binance may default to that.
3. Region setting If you selected a different country during registration, the default language may correspond to that region.
Still Seeing Other Languages After Changing?
Some Binance content may not be translated into all languages, such as:
- Descriptions of certain new features
- Some announcements
- Certain third-party integration pages
This is normal — core features and commonly used pages are fully translated.

Binance supports dozens of languages, including but not limited to:
- English
- Simplified Chinese
- Traditional Chinese
- Japanese

Quick Tip
The language setting is tied to your account, not your device. Once you switch on the app, logging into the web with the same account will also show the same language. Switching phones and logging in will keep the setting. No need to reconfigure each time.
If you set your language but it reverts after restarting the app, it may be a cache issue. Try: clear app cache → re-login → set the language again.
